November 11 1933 - Notable Passengers

The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. V. R. Lovegrove, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on November 11th, 1933. At 11:00 AM, immediately before sailing, the ship observed Remembrance Day with a two-minute silence and the lowering of the Japanese Ensign on the foremast and the Canadian Pacific house flag on the mainmast. Passengers, general cargo, and mail were carried on this voyage
