Notable Passengers

The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by M. J. D. Mayall, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on June 24^th, 1939. The ship carried passengers, cargo and mail.

Europeans who resided in the Far East occasionally enrolled their children in schools in British Columbia. Among the passengers on this voyage were a number of children who had been attending school in British Columbia and were travelling to the Far East to spend the summer with their families
