The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. J. Hailey, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on June 13th, 1929.
The ship carried approximately 75 Saloon Class, 50 Second Class, 30 Third Class and about 200 Steerage passengers.
