December 3 1932 - Notable Passengers

The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. V. R. Lovegrove, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on December 3rd, 1932.

A light passenger list, considerable cargo and heavy mail consignment were reported.  The unusually heavy mail, originating from Canada, the United States, Great Britain and Europe, was attributed to the Christmas Season and the fact that the EMPRESS OF ASIA would be the last Canadian Pacific liner to reach the Far East before Christmas Day.
