December 14 1935 - Notable Passengers

The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. V. R. Lovegrove, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on December 14th, 1935. 

A passenger list of 200 was reported.

Included was a missionary party of 23 belonging to the Board of Foreign Missions of the United Church of Canada.

The EMPRESS OF ASIA spent Christmas Day at sea with Yokohama being reached on Boxing Day.  New Year’s Day of 1936 was also spent at sea with Hong Kong being reached on January 2nd, 1936.
