August 8 1936 - Notable Passengers
The EMPRESS OF ASIA, commanded by A. V. R. Lovegrove, began a Pacific crossing upon sailing from Vancouver on August 8th, 1936.
The ship carried a full cargo including newsprint, paper, flour and wheat.
The passenger list reported 25 First Class, 84 Tourist Class and 24 Third Class.
